The ESIIG2 Staff, headed by the President of LAit SpA, Regino Brachetti, took part to the 2009 Edition for the "E-gov 2.0: pave the way for e-Participation", that was held in Madrid, 5 October 2009, organized by Eurospace, the City of Madrid and the Italian Ministry for Public Administration and Information and Communication Technology.

The event represented an important opportunity to analyse the following topics:

1) E-Democracy: ICT and e-participation policies;
2) Digitali rights in the era of ICT;
3) Resources, Knowledge and new competences;
4) Interoperability and Cooperative Application
The main objective of the Conference was to facilitate and to share experiences in order to increase citizens participation to the process of policy and decision-making. The President of LAit took part to the event, that involved experts, Representatives and Politicians of the National, Regional and local Government of Europe, European Institutions, EIPA and some important European Universities.
