The European Commission announced the finalists that will compete for the European eGovernment Awards 2009. We are particularly proud to inform you that two projects were already awarded by the iG2.0 Award, in occasion of the Second European Summit on Interoperability in the iGovernment, ESIIG2, held in Rome, in October 2008.
The projects are the following:
- EUCARIS, the European Car and Driving Licence Information System (The Netherlands);
- CO eService and National Labour Services Network (Italy)
The first has been awarded by the Technical and Scientific Committee as the best Project for Interoperability at regional and European level, while the second one has been recognised to be the best case for Impact.
The Awards Ceremony will be held in Malmo, Sweden, on 19 November 2009, during the 5th Ministerial eGovernment Conference, which aims at monitoring progress in eGovernment, accelerating the adoption of eGovernment policies in Europe and identifying research priorities for the future.
